Two more weeks

Can barely stand it

I'm so ready to get outta here. Used to go on trips up to three times a year (before I had Rocky Raccoon), so this is tough.

And hot. And boring. And recently annoying.

Daily pics from both Butch and his legions of fans at concerts and outings are making me antsy. But I won't be satisfied with the two short sets he'll put on with Avril and Gavin in LA. He said he won't be able to stand such short performances, either, so is announcing club gigs after the concerts. His LA ones are TBA and I'm on edge waiting to hear where/when since I'm dependent on a non-BW fan to at least dump me there.

He did look like he had interesting moments in Nashville and St, Louis, partying on his way to LA! (pics taken by BW). Yeah, one of 'em is a a sweaty, half-nekkid pic. Enjoy.

I did.

Reasons are various and sundry. (Wow, where did that word come from?) Lemme count the ways:

1) I've been bored and need some excitement. Can't wait til I go on my trip, tho don't know if the friend I'll be staying with and I will be able to stand each other for the week I'm there. He's going through 'stuff' and has been pretty and sh*t.

2) My blog(s), while being a decent diversion during this boring summer, has also managed to cause me some irritation. My fault; my "craving for attn" isn't attractive and I really should stop whining about not having visitors.

3) Personal stuff. Gettin' old and crap. And more crap.

4) Other ppl's stuff that affects me at inopportune times.

5) Schoolstuff that I've been trying hard to avoid..til now.

But thank goodness for my sometimes-sh*tty kitty. And wine. And candles. And music.

Old, boring and lonesome. Sounds like personal stuff all.

Start packing now. But don't pack any personal stuff. Pack the clothes, the shoes, slippers, soap and toothbrush, but don't pack the personal stuff. Think about the trip while you're packing. Fold everything. Flat and even - hospital corners. Think about BW and have his music playing. Pack tight with everything in it's own spot. If it doesn't feel right, move it. See the venue and the stage from where you'll be sitting. Don't rush the pack, unless you want to feel rushed on the trip. Hear the buzz of the crowd and taste the wine in the ziplock you snuck in under your top. And if the thoughts want to take you then let it. You have time to pack. Do a little each day.

Your trip has already started.

Your personal stuff..., as they come up put them under the mattress, or in a shoe in the closet. When you leave close the closet door. Don't worry they'll be safe. You know they'll be there when you get back and you'll know where to find them. But don't put them in the mirror. (Mirrors are connected and they'll find you when you look in one.)

So then, eat healthy till you leave. Fruits and veggies and lot's of water. Vitamins and suppliments are good too.(Holy Basil if you can find it.) If it's sleep or the blog, screw the blog. We'll wait. You haven't mentioned pushups or situps lately. If you haven't kept up then let it go. Don't stress your body now. Except maybe for some walking for the cardio.

Getting old happens. Feeling old, and boring, and lonely is choice. If you wanna crash Butch's party, do better.

I never said I felt lonesome or lonely, tho you mentioned it twice. I don't feel lonely, just annoyed and bored and irritated. I like being by myself + catsicle, believe it or not. I get enough ppl interaction/interuptions throughout the evenings even tho no one here's w/me in person.

Interesting suggestions. Makes me want to imagine that this is the first concert I've flown off to, but it's definitely not (sucks being in Hawaii). But these will be the shortest (BW's only the opener in this particular tour), so I'm waiting to find out where he'll hold his 'extra' concert in LA.

What I do need to work on is what I'll stutter out when I try to speak to him during his 'meet & greets'. ack. I never had the opportunity to do that before.

Thanks, but I've found it's usually best for me to wait til a day or so before the trip to pack, otherwise I overpack. Which I'll do, anyway. Fruits/vegs/supplements are pretty much givens, too. Exercise hasn't been :(

Heh, I didn't say I felt boring! Said I felt bored! Well, I guess in my old age, it might be the same thing, eh?

I just realize something. I was typing this whole sh*tload of responses to the above. Then I had this revelation - who the hell am I to talk. I've been banging your head about so much and it's not my place. So I just cleared everything and this is all I have to say. Have a great time. And you're just wonderful as you are.

Thanks, yes, I know I'll have a great time. And thanks also for easing off, I was starting to get defensive ;)
