it's not a lot of money
or a lot of time
but they keep asking only me

i might need something, too
yet they never think to ask

i sit here alone
with my wine and my cat
in candlelight
and wonder what it might be

    you're trying to get me to get all introspective-like and come up with what I think I should want/need, but whenever I get anywhere close to that, I tell myself that for my own good, I definitely could do without it. worked so far.
